June News: Rebuilding & Adapting

It’s been over one month since CMI’s four AmeriCorps VISTA Members were terminated without warning. I’m just beginning to get some sense of what “normal” is now – but it’s only been possible with our growing team that we’re rebuilding and many of you who have stepped up and donated your time, treasure, and talent to continuing the mission.

Our community has adapted by pulling together and volunteering more than ever with CMI. More Monthly Donors have contributed what they can to ensure that we keep impacting food insecure families in our community while supporting our local farmers and producers.

Won’t you join us? There’s so much more to be done! We’re coming out of the AmeriCorps shake up stronger – our community needs it more than ever!

Read on to learn more and please get involved with CMI. Reach out! I want to hear from YOU!

Keep Growing,

In over two & a half years, Community Markets Inc. has fed 13,500 people in 10 WV counties with 142,000 lbs. of healthy & locally-sourced food and put $367,000 back into farmers and small family business owners’ pockets.
