Madison Bishop, Local Food Access Coordinator at Community Markets Inc., is serving a year-long AmeriCorps VISTA term of service through West Virginia’s Promise Youth Alliance. Though she was born in Fairfax, VA, Madison has lived in multiple states, including Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and now West Virginia. While living in Indiana, she discovered a passion for service while volunteering at a Celebration of Survival for a local domestic violence shelter. She has an A.A.S in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Social Work from George Mason University and plans to pursue a Master of Social Work at West Virginia University following her year of service.
