Shannon Griffin
Mobile Market Coordinator
Shannon Griffin has been part of the Community Markets Inc. Team since July 2025. Originally from Wisconsin, Shannon moved to West Virginia in the fall of 2023 for work. With an undergraduate degree in economics and a Master of Arts in Integral Economic Development Management, Shannon recognizes the economic value of enriching one’s community at the local level and is delighted to support a mission that brings the principle of subsidiarity to life. Raised in a household that valued family meals and that appreciates healthy food, Shannon is excited to support the work of CMI in providing healthy and locally grown food to West Virginian households. Shannon believes that nutrition is an integral component to living a healthy life, and she is grateful to work for an organization that promotes healthier, affordable alternatives to staples of the standard American diet. Shannon brings local-level educational experience working in a charter school, research and analytical experience, administrative experience working for universities, and managerial experience supporting impact evaluations of two interventions in developing countries to the team at CMI. In her free time, Shannon has been involved in the local young adult community through St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town and has helped organize swing dance events for that community.
