Community Markets Inc. Partners with Shepherds Heart Food Pantry to Distribute 150 Food Boxes in Whitesville, WV
Whitesville, WV – November 4, 2025 – Community Markets Inc. (“CMI”), a nonprofit organization based in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, is partnering with Shepherds Heart Food Pantry, to provide much-needed food support to families in Boone County. Together, the organizations will distribute 150 food boxes on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Shepherds Heart Food Pantry, located on Coal River Road in Whitesville. CMI will bring a cold storage trailer full of fresh and healthy staple foods sourced from local farms in West Virginia including: farm-fresh produce, milk, butter, eggs, cheese, meat, jam, and more!
Community Markets Inc. is dedicated to addressing food scarcity across West Virginia, with a special focus on coalfield communities that continue to experience high levels of food insecurity. By joining with local partners like Shepherds Heart Food Pantry, the nonprofit is able to directly reach residents in need and ensure that resources are delivered where they are most impactful.
“Shepherds Heart has been honored to serve as the local food pantry for the Whitesville area for over seven years,” said Pamela Campbell, Administrator of Shepherds Heart. “Community Markets Inc. has graciously stepped into our community to help the community with a much-needed resource for additional food.”
The November 4th food distribution is open to the public, and no pre-registration is required. Food boxes will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
