Knauf Partners with Community Markets, Inc. to Support Local Families and Farmers

Inwood, WV (October 21, 2025) — Knauf Insulation, Inc. (Knauf), a leading, family-owned global manufacturer of fiberglass insulation, is proud to announce a regional partnership between its Inwood, WV plant and Community Markets Inc. (CMI) to support local families and farmers. As part of this collaboration, Knauf’s Inwood facility has pledged $6,800 in financial support and provided volunteers to assist with CMI’s programs that address food insecurity and strengthening the local agricultural economy.

Knauf will donate $2,300 to CMI to support its ongoing Food Box Giveaway program, which provides fresh, locally sourced food to underserved families in the community. An additional $4,500 will help fund the upcoming October 28 Food Box Giveaway at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Inwood, WV. This event is expected to serve hundreds of families in need, ensuring they have access to nutritious food while also supporting local farmers who supply the produce.

Knauf’s commitment to the community extends beyond financial contributions. Throughout September, Knauf employees volunteered their time and energy to support CMI’s various events and programs, demonstrating the company’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of local residents.

“Knauf is proud to partner with Community Markets, Inc. to address food insecurity in our community while also supporting our local farmers,” said Edgard Leite, Senior Director, Manufacturing Operations. “We believe in the power of collaboration and are committed to being a positive force in the communities in which we live and work. Together with CMI, we’re making a meaningful impact, and we look forward to continuing this important work.”

Community Markets, Inc. has also expressed its gratitude for Knauf’s support and shared its enthusiasm for the growing partnership. “We are incredibly grateful for Knauf’s generosity and their commitment to our mission,” said Mark Peiffer, Operations Manager, at Community Markets, Inc. “Their support allows us to feed underserved families in our community while also providing vital support to local agriculture. We look forward to continuing and growing this partnership to make an even greater impact.”
