Exciting News, Friends of Community Markets Inc.!

An anonymous donor pledged $26,000 to CMI today towards the purchase of a larger energy efficient refrigerated trailer through the Unity Campaign! We’re Super Excited & Grateful here at CMI! We need your help to finish the campaign strongly!

We’re within $200 of reaching our goal for the Unity Campaign! If three people reading this email give just $50, we will have fully funded the trailer! Can you help? Anything fundraised over and above the campaign goal will go towards supporting the programs and mission of Community Markets Inc.: Feeding underserved families in West Virginia & supporting local farmers! Please help Community Markets Inc. reach our Unity Campaign goal!

In just 18 months CMI has fed 6,000 people in 10 counties in West Virginia with nearly 70,000 lbs. of healthy food from local farms and put over $96,100 back into farmers’ and small family business owners’ pockets! Donate Today so CMI can continue increasing the health and wellness of families and farmers in the Eastern Panhandle of WV!

Your donation to CMI through the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle’s Unity Campaign is partially matched by United Way and 100% of your donation comes right back to CMI!

CMI Director Mark Peiffer (center) visited the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle offices in Martinsburg earlier today to deliver the anonymous $26,000 donation to the Unity Campaign and is pictured with Nicholas Malin, Director of Marketing and Donor Engagement for UWEP (left), and Penny Porter, CEO of UWEP (right). Community Markets Inc. has been a partner agency of United Way of the Eastern Panhandle for the past two years and is grateful for what United Way does daily to support local WV nonprofits! Nick mentioned that the $26k donation pushed the overall Unity Campaign donation amount to over $200,000!
